The second last level of Japanese language proficiency, also known as advanced intermediate level, it requires the ability to understand business level conversation and also complex everyday Japanese conversations. N2 acts as a benchmark to work and study in Japan.
At the N2 level, grammar becomes more advanced and practical, focusing on formal communication, business Japanese, news language, and real-life professional scenarios. Soyogi ensures students understand not just theory but actual usage in conversations and workplace settings.
Students learn approximately 1000–1200 kanji at this level, enabling them to read newspapers, official documents, and professional content with confidence.
You will develop the ability to understand Japanese at near-natural speed, including conversations, meetings, interviews, and news reports. Special focus is given to improving real-time comprehension skills.
N2 level opens strong career opportunities in Japan and Japanese companies. It is one of the most in-demand levels for jobs, making you eligible for high-paying roles and long-term career growth.
The N2 course at Soyogi introduces advanced grammar, new kanji, and intensive practice sessions. With a strong focus on speaking, listening, and practical application, students move closer to near-native level fluency.
The complete N2 syllabus typically takes around 6–8 months, depending on batch type and learning pace.
Regular classes are conducted three times a week on weekdays. Weekend and one-on-one Zoom classes are also available for working professionals.
